1 .lie in; lie on; result in; lead to

【辨析】lie in 在于 、位于 ；lie on 位于 ；result in 導致 、 引起；lead to 導致 。

【例句】The real trouble lies in heir lack of confidence in their abilities .

真正的麻煩在于他們對自己的能力缺乏自信 。

2 . account for; care for; allow for; call for

【辨析】account for 解釋 、 闡明；care for 喜歡 、喜愛；allow for 容許 、 允許；call for 要求 。

【例句】He behaves in a strange manner,and nobody can account for this .

3 .result in; bring in; lead into; result from
